Top MLB Catches of All Time

Top MLB Catches of All Time

Mike Horn, Jim & Tyler Roope discuss the top MLB catches of all time on the Lounge.

Here is Tyler Roope’s list of 9 catches better than Willie Mays’ Game 1 catch of the 1954 World Series at the Polo Grounds in Upper Manhattan, New York City. The play prevented the Indians from taking the lead and, in the bottom of the 10th, the Giants won the game on their way to sweeping the Series.

9. Dewayne Wise saves perfect game against the rays (easily debatable)

8. Mookie Betts over the right field wall against the orioles

7. Kevin Mitchell’s one handed catch against the cards

6. Trout’s center field catch against the orioles

5. Rajai Davis scaling the left field wall against the Yankees

4. Eric Byrnes’ diving catch against Seattle

3. Josh Donaldson’s dive into stands against Tampa Bay

2. Ken Griffey Jr. Crashing into wall against Texas

1. Jim Edmonds center field dive against KC on June 10

Most overrated catch: Jeter’s “diving catch” into the stands
